  1. Earlier this month, a truck driver had his tractor trailer towed and had to pay $1500 to get the truck back, but lost the entire load. He was parked at the Wal-Mart in Columbia, SC on Garners Ferry Road. did a news story about it here. Please add this location to the list of No Overnight Parking per the store.

  2. not a safe location.
this comment is coming from someone who is lived in Columbia South Carolina for 20 years. Fine in daylight but at night no no
If I had to shop there at night I would park in front of the building where the cameras are and I would leave my purchases in the lobby where the cameras are and drive my car up to load it. Hopefully there someone at the door!
Neither location garners ferry road or two Notch are safe at night. Attempted murder with a gun has been done in daylight at the garners ferry location you really don’t want to sleep there . Or leave anything that you want in the parking lot.
The manager knows more than we do.

    • We called Orangeburg and got permission. Arrived, saw the sign, phoned again. Verified ok to stay over. They asked us to park by the new Service Station

  3. Walmart on Two Notch is not “unsafe”; I go there at night/later evenings and have no issues. Granted, I don’t go there in the middle of the night, but overall it’s not an unsafe location. As far as Forest Drive, that’s essentially right outside the gates of Ft. Jackson and many other stores around, right next to I-177. Again, not an “unsafe” area.

  4. Recently signs have gone up at Walmart parking lots in Conway and Myrtle Beach area. Please check ahead if you plan on stopping at any of these locations
